FLT Sandwich

Everyone knows the classic BLT sandwich! Here you have the vegan version – Facon Lettuce Tomato! (FLT Sandwich) It’s so delicious, and facon will certainly be your new addiction.

Ingredients fir on FLT Sandwich:

  • Slices of your favorite bread, I love sourdough
  • Some vegan mayonnaise
  • A whole lot of homemade (or store bought) facon
  • Lettuce
  • Slices of tomato
  • Freshly ground pepper

This is how you do it:

Take 2 slices of bread and toast it (or don’t, I usually prefer fresh untoasted bread for my sandwiches, but my husband loves his toasted bread, always). Spread some mayonnaise on both of the slices. Use a lot, or less, it’s up to you. I like adding some flavor to the mayo. Mashed garlic or some spices (chili, onion powder, herbs etc).

Place lettuce leaves on one of the bread slices, then tomato and LOTS of facon! Sprinkle some pepper over it, place the other bread slice on top and press gently. Cut in half diagonally and serve.
